What I’ve Learned About Myself Through Traveling

Although I’ve only traveled to a handful of places, I’ve learned a lot.

There are still sooo many places I have on my bucket list that are waiting to be crossed off (COVID, gtfoh!), the places I have been though, have been so special.

Each trip has always been with family. Which I don’t complain about and am so grateful because my family is so fun and such a great time!

Honestly, if you know my family or have gone out partying with my family, count yourself lucky! If not, you’re missing out! Haha!

There are trips I plan to go on alone or with friends in the future and I cannot wait!

Have you ever been on a trip and are doing something adventurous and just think to yourself, “Man, if I were on this trip 5 (maybe 10) years ago, I would never have done this.”?

When I was in New York in 2016 and 2018, I had many moments where I thought, “Wow! I’m actually doing this crazy thing (whatever I was doing) on my own!”

I gained so much independence I never thought I had.

I became more spontaneous and adventurous.

I started just saying “Yes” to anything new and exciting.

I found a love for exploring new, old, and hole in the wall places. In New York, or any big city, you just walk. Walk and see where the big city streets take you. Explore all the city has to offer. You never know what you’ll find.

I learned that the only way to really enjoy yourself is to enjoy every moment. Take it in without documenting every little thing.

Now, I’m not saying don’t take pictures, obviously take pictures! But once you take that picture, put your phone away, look around, and take in the sight!
