Heartbreak Holiday

Time for the holidays again and if my bank account could talk, it’d be yelling at me right now. I swear my family keeps growing each year which means more gifts to buy!

This year is a little different.

This year has been tough. Especially the last couple of months. I know times are tough for a lot of people and my heart goes out to those who are struggling through the holidays.

Just a little recap:

  • I lost a friend, for the better if I’m being honest, that I talked about in ‘Why Setting Boundaries Is Important’.
  • The day after Thanksgiving I had to put my oldest dog down and that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. (A post/episode to come).
  • And to top it all off, this month my family got news that a relative is sicker than we thought. (When I’m allowed to talk about it I will).

So with all of that happening, I’m not asking for anything, I’m not taking anything for granted, instead I’m spending every minute of my free time to spend that time with my loved ones & taking Luna (my other dog) everywhere I can with me.

I’ve always loved the holidays because I get to spend it with my family, but this year is just a little different and more sentimental.

So to end this post, my advice to you is hug your loved ones, tell them you love them, and just spend quality time with them. You never know when your last day with them will be.
